The Open Door
The Open Door Drop-In Center provides a safe haven during the overnight hours to adult women in need. Some who utilize the Open Door are fleeing a domestic violence situation; others are seeking long-term assistance for psychiatric issues, substance abuse, etc. Trained staff is available to offer immediate crisis counseling at the moment of greatest need. Christ’s love is reflected in a welcoming environment where women are encouraged to make positive lifestyle changes.
Peer to peer support groups are unparalleled in their effectiveness in helping those in need. Educational groups such as Anger Management, Life Skills, and Managing Emotions are offered as well as addiction support groups and Bible Studies. No one is left to travel that journey alone.
