Position Title: Cookie Business Associate (Baking)

Reports to: Cookie Business Coordinator

Summary of Responsibilities: The Cookie Business Associate is responsible for transporting and working alongside Cookie Business Assistants in the preparation, baking and packaging of cookies. They will oversee the work of the Assistants and provide support for them and the Pauls’ Moms’ Cookies volunteers.

  • A strong commitment to Christ and to serving Him through word and deed to others
  • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written
  • The ability to work with, encourage, motivate and lead people from all areas of the social spectrum
  • The ability to organize, prioritize and delegate independently
  • Experience and comfort in responding appropriately to the needs of employees
  • Time management and organizational skills
  • The ability to adapt to change when necessary
  • Possess a valid Driver’s License

Specific Responsibilities: 

  • Maintain weekly hours as needed
  • Be able to physically fulfill the duties of the job
    o Ability to stand and work in each baking station
    o Ability to reach and lift up to 25 lbs
  • Understand and fulfill all responsibilities of their role independently o Report to Dégagé on baking days
    o Transport Dégagé employees and supplies from the 4th floor to Trinity United Methodist Church using the Dégagé van
    o Move supplies from the van to the church for each baking session o Set up as needed o Help out at baking stations where needed
    o Complete a Baking Recap, Ingredients Order Form and Volunteer Hours sheet after each baking session
    o Load cookies and supplies into van for the return to Degage
    o Transport cookies and supplies to 4th floor
  • Maintain communication flow between Dégagé Cookie Business Coordinator and Pauls’ Moms’ Cookies founders and volunteers as appropriate
  • Recognize and discern dynamics of the group
  • Take appropriate actions to initiate positive communication and relationships
  • Be organized using communication by checking e-mail regularly and responding promptly to scheduling inquiries

Compensation: This is a part-time hourly position (Tuesdays, up to 5 hours per week) Note: This is an “at will” position. There is no length of tenure of employment implied or stated
