Press Release: Thanksgiving Meal and Party

Wednesday evening at 6:30 p.m., Dégagé Ministries will host its annual Thanksgiving meal for the homeless and disadvantaged in the Heartside Neighborhood.

Approximately 20 employees and families from HT Hackney, a local business, will donate their time and resources for the meal. Friends of HT Hackney have been coming to serve and provide the meal since 1991.

HT Hackney anticipates feeding 300 people at Dégagé this Wednesday.

Annual volunteer, Sue Hodson, notes, “Ever since the first time I volunteered for this event, I am amazed by the thankful spirit of the people we serve. I believe every person I served said, ‘thank you’. I was so touched by that, they were very appreciative and thankful.”

The meal will be served at 6:30 on Wednesday, November 25, 2009 on the first floor of Dégagé Ministries, 144 S. Division Ave. Grand Rapids, MI 49503.
